Harold Chatelus joins from The Rohatyn Group (TRG), where he was a Managing Director and member of its EMEA Private Markets investment team. He is based in London.

While at TRG, Harold focused on sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring investments across Europe. He was also a member of the Investment Committee for TRG’s Emerging Europe Fund. He most recently served on the Board of Directors of four portfolio companies, Pet Network International (Croatia), Optimapharm (Croatia), MyFamily (Italy) and Prestige (Bulgaria).

Prior to joining TRG in December 2013, he was a member of the Citi Venture Capital International (CVCI) investment team from 2010. At CVCI, Harold focused on investments in the pharmaceutical and retail sectors and served on the Board of Directors of three portfolio companies. Before CVCI, from 2008 to 2010, Harold was an Associate in Citi’s London-based Emerging Markets M&A team, advising clients across all industries on M&A transactions throughout the CEEMEA region. Prior to that, between 2006 and 2008, he was an Analyst in Citi’s Global Financial Institutions investment banking team, based in New York, where he advised clients on M&A transactions and debt and equity financing.

Harold holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (International Economics) from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He is fluent in English, French and Italian and speaks conversational Spanish.
